Well haven’t really had anything of any interest to me to report here and that’s why the no updates but as I don’t want people to think nothing is going on I thought I’d post to say nothing is going on. :)

I have been working on the first module I’m releasing to the general public, it’s essentially done right now although I ened to add in the Continued Adventures information and then do a first pass on proofing it.  It doesn’t look too bad if I do say so myself.  Of course adventure wise who knows.

To give you a short synopsis, this is designed to give a plausible reason for a group of disparate characters together without the “You’re all in the tavern the night hell rains down on the world.” cliche.  I think it’s pretty plausible anyway.  YMMV as always.  Anyway it has a series of fairly easy 400-500 exp adventures, a couple of skill challenges, some traps, and a BBEGs (guys plural) ending.  There are no less than three plot threads that could be cut or expanded into an entire tapestry of adventures here, the chance for one recurring bad guy that’s power appropriate for a valid reason for a young group and that could easily see the characters emerging as something of local heroes.

Anyway, I hope to get it finished and proofed in the next night or two and get it posted.  I’d also like to run some play tests of the encounters to make sure they’re easy enough. The module has an inherent time pressure to it or the adventure will be taken out of the group’s hands, again in a logical manner due to the setting not just a railroad.

It has a t total of 5 combat encounters that escalate in difficulty, one skill challenge about 95% and a second about 75% likely to occur depending on GM and player actions, and there are a couple of traps more of the old school, hit point sinks or in this case healing surge sinks rather than the “trap as an additional obstacle during an encounter.”  Which isn’t at trap to me so if you use them feel free to get rid of that part, it’s really there just have a trap or two since no adventure is really complete without one.
