Header Graphic

For lack of anything else that’s interesting enough to me to bother posting about, here’s a low res version of the header graphic I’m thinking of putting at the top of my modules.  It seems to be the ‘thing’ to do with modules.

Anyway, this header is intended obviously to be a piece ripped out of a map that shows the known universe from the city of Arhd.  The smaller towns of Bairnock and Triskel are depicted but really the rest of the world around them has fallen into ‘unexplored’ territory.  There are older maps that show where other cities used to be but those have fallen into disuse since the grey death swept over the lands, a virulent plague that started with the gnome traders and that spread as fast as word could get out about.

My world starts in Arhd, extending to the west which in this image is to the rop as it’s been rotated counter-clockwise in order to be of use as a horizontal header, anyway, to the west is a old series of watch towers that have fallen into disuse as civilization has collapsed inwards reducing the area it has to protect even as the forces it has to protect them were reduced by the grey death. It is one of these towers that the group owns and is working toward repairing and building as a place to explore outwards, to visit the smaller towns or the ruins of them to see how they faired. And of course to salvage loot and all that.  They’re not really humanitarians.

Fortunately for the civilized races the death wasn’t selective and most humanoid races were decimated by its dark touch, only the true beasts tended to be immune to it. In the twenty-three years since the last victim was burned outside of Arhd, societies are only now starting to get back on their feet and open trade with cities that have been out of touch with them for decades.
