Sorry for the unplanned maintenance window if you happened to stop by but I wanted to put the latest dot release of WordPress up on the site. Nothing critical but I like being up to date.
I also took the opporunity to change the format of the banner ad because the other was giving me just insane content. Â I’m wondering if someone else is mistakenly using my guid for the ads and their site has strange content on it.
With any luck the ads will be less incongruous. And of course if you don’t like the single banner then there are pretty simple fixes to get rid of it entirely. It’s not like I expect to make actual dollars off this site, it’s there more as a social experiement.
I’ve often also wondered about social experients and just to see what happens I’ve added a paypal donate button. I honestly have NO expectations of anyone bothering, just curious to see if anyone would. It’s preset for $1 with the claim it’s to buy me miniatures. Which it would be used for. I’d like to get one of those $12 dragons I just can’t justify it to myself or to my wife who said and I quote, “Just use the kids fingerpaints on the one little one you have to change the color when you need to.” And I can’t fault her for that. Especially needing a new roof and upstairs AC unit, vendors are going $Kaching! as they come out and give us estimates.  Stupid cheap roof put on by previous owner and stupid air conditioning that doesn’t last past 14 years.
