What sounds like a good new race in the form of the Minotaur can be found over here. Now while I’m not particularily in favor of dumping in more and more and more races into a world mix I could certainly see not using some races in favor of other home built ones to grant your world some uniqueness.
Although bull headed men seem a trifle… odd to me from a realistic viewpoint. Do they eat grass or are they carnivores? An active lifestyle like adventuring denotes probably not an herbivore or they’ll be eating all the time, there’s just not that many calories in grass. And certainly packing in enough hay for dungeon delve would be interesting. Granted of course that Bags of Holding do exist.
But personally I could see wapping out the Dragonborn or the Tieflings for something else. The dragonborn especially squeak of Drizzzzzzzzzt’ism to me. Let’s give’em cool dragon racies or oooh scary demonic races with horns etc. Or that could just be my old school showing through. In my day we had 2 races and we liked it that way. There was the human and the non-human!
